2023 election: Reactions as Falz reveals winner at his polling unit hours after his attack

Nigerians have reacted to the election results update of singer, Folarin Falana, known as Falz, at his polling unit in Ikate, Lagos.

This was hours after thugs reportedly attacked the singer in the area.

According to the update shared by the Falz online, Peter Obi’s Labour Party emerged winner of the presidential vote.

Labour Party led with 108 votes, the All Progressives Congress with 31 votes and Peoples Democratic Party with 2 votes.

Falz disclosed that the Labour Party Logo was not included in the senatorial election ballot, thus excluding them from the vote.

Many took to the comment section to commend the singer’s undeniable efforts in ensuring democracy in the country.

He was also praised for delivering good results from his polling unit.

Falz attacked by thugs in Ikate

Kilamity recalls that Falz was attacked in his polling unit in Lagos state, and his phone was reportedly stolen by thugs.

Information gathered by Kemi Filani disclosed that thugs attacked the singer and other voters in the area.

It was also reported that ballot papers are being torn apart and scattered in the area because of the massive support for Peter Obi’s Labour Party.

Kilamity also learnt that voters were scared back homes for safety as many phones had been seized.

Kilamity recalls that videos that emerged online days before the election gave Nigerians a soothing relief regarding having a free and fair election.

Many believed the arrival of the army in some states prior to the presidential election would enhance a free and fair electoral process.

Different online videos captured how the 2023 presidential elections were marred by havoc in different states despite the clips.

From ballot snatching to attacking voters and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not appearing in certain polling units.
