Serbia will look to progress beyond the World Cup group stages for the first time this century when they compete on Kilamity live stream.
Since becoming an independent sovereign state in 2006, Serbia have taken part in two World Cups: 2010 and 2018. It was a bittersweet exit from South Africa 12 years ago, as Radomir Antic’s men beat European heavyweights Germany 1-0 in the groups, but lost out to Australia and Ghana. Eight years later, the Eagles were unable to exorcise those demons, crashing out of the groups once again with just the single win. They’ll be hoping third time’s the charm this year.
If Serbia pip Brazil to the Group G post then a match-up with the runner-up of Group H awaits them, which will be one of Portugal, Ghana, South Korea or Uruguay. A win there could then see them lock proverbial horns with either Spain, Germany or Belgium. And then from there, the heavyweight pile-up continues as we inch towards December’s Lusail showpiece.
