“I was already looking for an apartment in Abuja” Banky W breaks silence as he expresses heartbreak for losing the 2023 election (video)

Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for Eti Osa Federal House of Representative, Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, has broken his silence following his loss at the just concluded 2023 presidential elections.

Kilamity recalls that Banky W lost his position to a Labour Party candidate identified as Attah.

Banky W shared a video of himself during the Sunday services, expressing his heartbreak for losing the election.

The father of one disclosed that he had made huge preparations for his win, which include a Sunday thanksgiving programme, searching for an apartment and office in Abuja, and others.

However, the singer revealed that he is strengthened by his faith in God which can sometimes give way for one to be hurt.

Banky W also disclosed that his loss at the election will not stop him from praising God because he will still hold the thanksgiving.

Banky W loses to Labour Party

Kilamity recalls that Labour Party candidate, Thaddeus Attah, defeated Banky W during the February 25th, 2023, presidential election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Attah the winner of the Eti-Osa Federal constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

According to Prof Funmilayo Odukoya, the INEC Returning Officer, Attah pulled a total of 24,075 votes to defeat his rival, Banky W of the People Democratic Party (PDP) who gathered 18,666 votes, and Mr Babajide Obanikoro of APC, who had 16,901 votes.

Banky W pens an emotional appreciation note to his wife

Kilamity also recalls that Banky W penned an emotional note and public appreciation to his wife, Adesua Etomi, for sticking with him through his political journey and campaigns.

The singer cum actor, and politician shared a video of them from their campaign with some women in Etiosa Lagos state.

Banky W recounted how Adesua used to hate politics but chose to support him with everything.

“Susu always hated politics… So when I began talking about the burden I had to run for office, I’m sure you can imagine how she felt.

“She said, “Banky, I know you, and I know your heart… and if you’re given an opportunity, I’m sure you would do a great job and make a difference… BUT politics in Nigeria is dirty and dangerous. And I don’t want anything to soil you or harm you.”
