Nigeria vs Sierra Leone (Africa Cup of Nations)

Nigeria will look to make a strong start to their Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign when they host Sierra Leone Live On Kilamity.

Nigeria head into this match on an awful run of form, losing two recent friendlies against Ecuador and Mexico to extend their winless run to five games. To add to their woes, the Super Eagles are without some of their biggest stars for this international break, including the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Osimhen. Goals have been an issue of late even with those forwards around, so Jose Peseiro will have to find some solutions in the attacking third.

Sierra Leone, meanwhile, have won their last two friendlies, beating Congo 2-1 and Liberia 1-0. However, in competitive action, they have just one win in their last nine.

These two nations shared draws in both their meetings during qualification for the previous edition of Afcon; one a forgettable 0-0 and the other a memorable 4-4. So who knows what to expect this time…
