Praises ring as Funke Akindele makes first public appearance since mother’s death

Box office queen, Funke Akindele has received the praises of her fans as she makes her first public appearance post her mother’s death.

Funke Akindele was captured on her way to observe her civic duties alongside her crew.

The actress, who has been on and off social media since her mother’s death earlier this month, urged everyone to go out and perform their civic rights.

She wrote: I just voted!! My vote will count!!! God bless Nigeria!!! God bless us all!!!

Celebrities including Medlin boss, Stephanie Coker, Bigvail Jokotoye, Rasak Owoniran, Emeka Okoye, and BBNaija Beauty joined other fans of Funke Akindele to chant her praise.

Funke Akindele loses mother

Kilamity reported that Funke Akindele had lost her mother.

The news was shared by her sister, Olubunmi Akindele, who disclosed that they lost their mother on the 7th of February.

“It is with heavy hearts, but in total submission to God Almighty, that the ADEBANJO and AKINDELE families announce the passing of their daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. DR. R B ADEBANJO-Akindele, which occurred on Tuesday, 07 February 2023.

May her gentle soul begin its rest eternal in peace. Amen. Obsequies in honour of her passing shall be announced in due course.

May her soul rest in peace, Amen”.

Massive turn up on Funke Akindele’s 45th birthday

Kilamity also recalls that Funke Akindele was overwhelmed with love on her 45th birthday with a massive turnup of fans and well wishes on social media.

The mother of two was shocked at how well she was loved by all who took to their social media pages to shower her with love and accolades.

Kilamity reported that Funke Akindele pulled a massive crowd at her father’s hometown, Ikorodu Lagos, when she stormed the area for her official unveiling as the state’s PDP deputy governor.

The delighted crowd stormed the streets to shower their support for Funke Akindele and Olajide Jandor ahead of the 2023 general elections.
