City had complete control of this game but Real Madrid have it back and allowe the game to get scrappy. Real are appealing for everything and looking incredulous whenever they don’t get it, regardless of whether there was any merit to the appeal.

I was just writing how City needed to get their foot on the ball and stop the Madrid antics, but Kevin De Bruyne had other ideas and just put his foot through it. A moment of brilliance just at the perfect time, and another big moment from De Bruyne at the Bernabeu.

Rodrygo is really growing into the game and wins a corner as he tries to pick up the crowd. Modric’s cross is cleared and City break but Gundogan’s ball is cut out and Madrid regain possession. Benzema gets a shot away, but Stones blocks. Madrid are comfortable now, to be honest. Madrid want handball again but that is as far away from a penalty as you can get.
