Uruguay and South Korea will lock horns in the Group H opener at Education City Stadium. While two-time champions Uruguay progressed through to the quarter finals in Russia 2018,
South Korea were knocked out in the group stages but managed to oust Germany with a final match 2-0 win.
In the first match of the day, Switzerland opened their 2022 World Cup campaign in Group G with a 1-0 win over Cameroon. Breel Embolo scored his first World Cup goal against the country of his birth.
