Aston Villa vs Arsenal (EPL 2021/22)

Aston Villa’s fight against Premier League relegation will continue as they host Arsenal this Afternoon(1:30pm) in their penultimate game of the season.

As things stand, Villa are 18th in the Premier League, three points behind Watford who currently occupy the final safety spot. Dean Smith‘s side also have a worse goal difference than their relegation rivals, needing a four-goal swing on top of the three point before the season is up.

Villa will take some solace in the fact that Watford face Manchester City in their next game, giving the Villans a potential chance to claw back some of the gap, but to do so they must overcome a tough task of their own.

Arsenal go into Tuesday’s game on the back of an excellent FA Cup semi-final win over Man City and may still harbour some hopes of a Europa League spot through their Premier League finish. The Gunners are five points behind north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur but can cut it down to two with a win at Villa Park, something they have become accustomed to, winning 12 of their last 17 trips to face Villa (drawing seven).
