SWEDEN will be hoping Belgium take their foot of the gas after qualifying for Euro 2024 as they bid to keep their own faint hopes alive with a victory in Brussels.
The Belgians got over the line on Friday night with a thrilling 3-2 victory in Austria that sent them three points clear at the top of Group F on a great night for our man Gabriel. That was a blow for the Austrians but they are still red-hot favourites to join Belgium in the finals as they sit seven points clear of the Swedes, having played a game more.
Anything less than a Swedish victory in Brussels will seal the deal and it’s hard to hold out much hope for them, given Domenico Tedesco’s side romped to a 3-0 victory in Stockholm.
