Broadcaster Abiodun Oropo dies after brief illness

Abiodun Oropo, also known as Oyinlomo Joojo, a broadcaster, passed away after a brief illness.

According to a Facebook post by Oyinlomo RadioTV, Oropo passed away on Saturday.

“We lost Alhaji Abiodun Oropo Oyinlomo yesterday evening 09.07.2022. May your gentle soul Rest In Peace,” the statement said.

According to Business Guide Africa, Oropo passed away in a private office on Ogba Soye Road near Abeokuta Road in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Oropo, who was born in Iwo, Osun State, was a very significant music businessman.

One of the songs that catapulted him to stardom was ‘Board Members’ which was released by musician Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi.

As a host, he was part of a popular show on Faaji FM on Saturdays. He is also one of Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde’s promoters.
