This was meant to be the start of something good under Erik ten Hag but the Dutchman’s second campaign at Old Trafford has been a disappointment so far. The Red Devils have lost four of their opening six games across all competitions, the latest being a 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich in their Champions League group stage opener.
In the Premier League, Man Utd’s record reads two wins and three defeats from their opening five matches, with two coming back-to-back. After winning their opening game against Wolves, Man Utd fell to Tottenham Hotspur but bounced back with a win over Nottingham Forest.
But they face a Burnley side who haven’t taken a point at home this season. The Clarets opened the new campaign with three home games, losing to Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham.
