Chelsea welcome Wolves to Stamford Bridge this afternoon on Kilamiti hoping to pick up the win that would guarantee them Champions League football next season. The side have struggled for form following their loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League and will look towards this game as a way of building momentum before the FA Cup final against Liverpool.
The Blues have won just two of their five games since their European exit including a 1-0 loss to Everton in their last match. Boss, Thomas Tuchel will be desperate to stop that run and end the domestic season on a high ahead of a summer that could see a lot of rebuilding at the club.
Wolves have been in awful form in recent weeks, a single 2-1 victory over Aston Villa the only bright spark in a run that has seen them lose four of their last five matches. Perhaps most worryingly has been their decline in front of goal, with the goals drying up in recent weeks.
There isn’t anything to play for, outside of pride, for Wolves and that lack of motivation could be an issue in the final four games for the side as they struggle look devoid of confidence and impetus.
