Egypt are in the third-place match after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Senegal in the semi-final. They struggled to break down the compact Senegalese backline and could only muster a single attempt on target throughout the contest. While that was their first defeat in the competition, Egypt have not been particularly convincing so far. Hossam Hassan’s men have only picked up three regulation-time wins in their six matches in Morocco.
