Everton vs Man Utd (EPL 2021/22)

Everton and Manchester United meet at Goodison Park for a Premier League showdown on this afternoon on Kilamiti that could prove season-defining for both clubs.

Everton are circling the drain following their recent 3-2 capitulation against relegation rivals Burnley in midweek. They could find themselves in the bottom three come the end of the weekend if results don’t go in their favour, with Sean Dyche’s Clarets facing bottom club Norwich on Sunday, putting a huge emphasis on this game for Frank Lampard.

For Ralf Rangnick’s men, they are pushing hard to infiltrate the Premier League top four and secure Champions League football for next season. As it stands, the Red Devils are currently seventh in the table, but only three points adrift of Tottenham, who currently occupy the final Champions League place following Arsenal’s 3-0 humbling against Crystal Palace on Monday.

Lampard will be boosted by the returns of Michael Keane and Allan, both of whom faced varying degrees of suspension following red cards against West Ham and Newcastle respectively. Donny van de Beek, though is out of action as he’s ineligible to face his parent club, while Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes, Tom Davies, Andros Townsend and Nathan Patterson remain on the sidelines. Seamus Coleman is available, but still may not be risked from the off.
