Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Joseph Ada is dead.
The reality star, who participated in the first edition of the hit reality show in 2006, passed away in Delare, US on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023.
According to reports, he was diagnosed with Pancreatitis which led to his untimely death.
Refreshing your memory, Joseph was in the house with other contestants like Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, Maureen Osuji, and others.
He had relocated to the US after the show to pursue his career as a flight attendant.
Rico Swavey is dead
Last year, BBNaija lost one of its housemates, Rico Swavey.
The reality star passed on to glory on Thursday morning, October 13 following injuries sustained from a ghastly motor accident.
His death was announced by his co-star, Tobi Bakre.
According to popular gossip logger, Gist lovers, Rico was rushed to Doren Hospital after the accident.
A video of health workers mocking him while he battled for his life in the hospital went viral.
Gist lovers wrote, “Seems I finally got the hospital, some are saying it’s Evercare, they just did a disclaimer now saying it’s not them as Nigerians don almost drag life comot for their MD body, those ones don come out say no be them, one of the deceased family who pleaded anonymity talk say na this Doren hospital and on a closer look I see say be like say their uniform na the same and the environment @doren_hospital come forward with a valid explanation and provide those non-challant under bridge nurses, na una hospital he happen abi no be una, you need to come forth with better explanations, why una Dey limit comment if no be say una don do bad. I come in peace”.
Health Workers at Doren Hospital Mock Dying Rico
In the video, Rico Swavey, who was indisposed, was seen sitting on a chair while receiving oxygen as the nurses contemplated on how to move him into Intensive Care Unit.
One of them had reprimanded her coworkers for recording him when he was fighting for his life in the video because she wasn’t happy with their behavior.
She noted how he was in critical condition, yet they were more concerned about making videos. One of them could be heard saying, “Oya, make we carry am now go inside”. Her statement made another nurse chuckle.
Another nurse who wasn’t pleased with their behavior, said, “His oxygen is 90%. You people should stop making videos and let’s move him. Somebody is in critical condition and you’re making videos”.
The video elicited anger from netizens as they drag the healthcare attendants for being lackadaisical.
Body of Rico Swavey’s laid to rest
The reality star’s body was finally laid to rest in Lagos.
His burial rites started with a church service at The Methodist Church of Trinity (Tinubu Square) in Lagos Island before his family accompanied his body to a funeral home.
His funeral took place at Ebony Vault in Ikoyi, Lagos. It was a private event attended by family and friends.
