Forbes reports that he earns $200 million per year in on-field salary from the Saudi Pro League club, making him the highest-paid football player in the world.
In addition to his on-field salary, Cristiano Ronaldo earns $60 million per year from endorsements, making his total annual salary $260 million.
Ronaldo was the highest-paid football player in 2021 ($125 million), but he lost that title to Kylian Mbappe in 2022 ($128 million). He has now emphatically reclaimed that title.
Lionel Messi is ranked second on Forbesβ list of the highest-paid footballers, thanks to his lucrative contract with Inter Miami.
The winner of the 2022 World Cup earns a base salary of $65 million, which is supplemented by $70 million in off-field endorsements.
Neymar became the third-highest-paid player in the world after his transfer to Saudi Arabia, earning $112 million annually from Al-Hilalβs salary and various high-end brand deals.
