Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has taken to social media to give thanks to God as her blockbuster movie, Battle on Buka Street grosses N668M.
Battle on Buka Street, a Nigerian comedy-drama movie continues to break records both locally and internationally since it was released on December 16, 2022.
Despite the fact that she was an actress in the movie, Funke Akindele performs the role of a director and producer. Battle on Buka Street was directed by Funke Akindele and Tobi Makinde.
Also, the film is jointly produced as a collaboration between Funke Ayotunde Akindele Network (FAAN) and FilmOne Entertainment.
About the movie Battle on Buka Street, two women after a lifetime of rivalry once again find themselves at odds when they start food businesses on the same street.
These two women confront each other in a food challenge in order to win the prestigious โKing of Buka Streetโ which is a title conferred to the best local food seller in the region.
speaking on how the film became a huge box-office success, a verified Twitter handle identified as @the49thstreet confirmed that the movie has grossed N668M so far.
Reacting to this, Funke Akindele reposted the post on her verified Instagram page where she expressed her utmost joy about the development of the movie.
Funke Akindele further added that the movie will now be on prime video on June 16th, 2023. She wrote;
