England will be looking to bounce back from a shock defeat when they travel to face Germany in the Uefa Nations League Tonight live on Kilamity.
England’s chances of reaching a second Uefa Nations League finals initially took a blow when the group draw was made, pitting Gareth Southgate’s men against Germany, Italy and Spain. And they took an even bigger hit at the weekend, falling to a shock defeat against Hungary.
Although the defeat, England’s first since the Euro 2020 final, came via a contentious penalty, the Three Lions offered very little in terms of threat on their opponents’ goal – with Southgate claiming the heat in Hungary played a key role. Now they must quickly turn things around with three more games to come in the space of a week, starting with a trip to Germany.
Germany will be hoping this year’s Nations League is better than their past two showings in the tournament. The first saw Germany, fresh off a disgraceful World Cup showing, finish bottom of their group and only saved from relegation by a reshuffling of the competition. Last year, Germany finished second behind Spain but managed just two wins in their group and were thrashed 6-0 by La Roja.
