Heartbreaking moment as Murphy Afolabi is finally laid to rest [Video]

It was a heartwrenching moment as Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi begins his journey home. The actor, aged 49, lost his life on Sunday, the 14th of May, 2023, after he reportedly slipped on bathroom tiles and hit his head on a hard surface.

Nollywood stars declared Sunday as a Black day because the movie industry lost two actors. Many took to their timelines to share dark images to mourn the death of Murphy Afolabi.

Actor Murphy Afolabi’s death came as a shock to many as the actor recently marked his 49th birthday on the 5th of May. Reports by Seun Oloketuyi claimed the actor lost his life after slipping on bathroom tiles.

Nollywood artistes, including Adeniyi Johnson, Papa Show, Biola Bayo, Damola Olatunjji, Sam Olatunji, Yinka Solomon, Mercy Aigbe, Kemi Korede and a host of others mourned their colleagues’ death on social media.

Videos that emerged online captured the moment the actor’s corpse was transported in a coffin to Ikorodu, where he would be finally committed to mother earth.

Recall that earlier today, Murphy Afolabi’s burial plans were altered from the previous plans where he was supposed to be buried in Osogbo, Osun state.
