Kai Havertz scores first Arsenal goal in comfortable 4-0 win over Bournemouth (Video)

Former Chelsea player Kai Havertz has scored his Arsenal with a penalty as they comfortably beat winless Bournemouth in the Premier League at Vitality Stadium.

Havertz, who has struggled since joining from Chelsea in the summer, converted the second of two Arsenal penalties to secure their third consecutive away victory.

Bukayo Saka had opened the scoring, heading in the rebound from Gabriel Jesus’ effort, and Martin Odegaard had also scored a penalty to give Mikel Arteta’s side a comfortable lead at half-time.

Arsenal’s dominance continued into the second half, and after Havertz had scored, Ben White headed home from Odegaard’s free-kick in added time to add gloss to a comprehensive victory.

Bournemouth dropped into the bottom three of the Premier League table, with no wins from their first seven league matches under new manager Andoni Iraola.

Arsenal returned to winning ways after their 2-2 draw against Tottenham last weekend with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The Gunners took the lead early on through Bukayo Saka, who headed home the rebound from Gabriel Jesus’ effort. Martin Odegaard doubled Arsenal’s lead from the penalty spot just before half-time, and Kai Havertz added a third after the break.

Ben White rounded off the scoring in added time to secure a comprehensive victory for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Bournemouth offered little resistance throughout the game, and they remain without a win in their first seven Premier League matches under new manager Andoni Iraola.
