JUST IN: Nigerian police declare Instagram big boy Killaboi wanted over alleged murder of girlfriend in Lagos

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) Lagos State Command has declared Benjamin Best Nnanyereugo, wanted for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Augusta Onuwabhagbe Osedion.

Killaboi, 26 stabbed her girlfriend to death on July 13, 2023, in his residence in his Ajah home in Lagos.

He confessed to the murder on his Instagram page, writing that he “mistakenly stabbed” Osedion during an argument. He said he then fled the scene and has been suicidal ever since.

“I got into an argument with my girlfriend @austa xxo which fight I mistakenly stabbed her and ran away out of fear and been suicidal since then(sic). I intend to end my life now cause I have lost the one I cherish so much. I want to do the right thing and turn myself in. I will gladly die by paying with my life now,” he wrote on his Insta Stories.

Following the incident, several Nigerians took to the microblogging platform, X and demanded the arrest of the suspect.

In response to the call for justice, the police have now declared Killaboi wanted claiming they have exhausted all means to arrest him.

The Lagos command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement released on Tuesday, said Killaboi, 26, is suspected to have murdered his girlfriend on July 13, 2023 in his Oral Estate, Ajah home.

He said he was declared wanted following “the exhaustion of all available options to bring him in.”

The PPRO described the suspect as “approximately 5’9 ft tall and hails from Abia State. He is dark in complexion and speaks English, Igbo and pidgin English fluently.”

“If seen, please contact the nearest police station or call 0803 688 5727,” the statement added.
