Liverpool must wish they could play Rangers every week as they hammered them 7-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. In the Premier League, it is a different story where a 3-2 loss to Arsenal last time out extended their winless run to three. They sat in tenth spot going into the weekend 13 points behind Man City making this a must win fixture for them.
Andy Robertson is in doubt about the importance of the fixture: “It is a massive game (on Sunday) of course it is. We need to try and get consistency back into our game, into our performances, that is what is lacking this season.”
The Scot does believe though that his side can compete with the defending champions: “Obviously a game against City will always be difficult, they are flying this season, playing really well, difficult to play against. But us at our best can always compete.”
