Man United vs Burnley (EPL 2021/22)

Manchester United are looking to bounce back from a frustrating draw at Newcastle as they host Burnley on Thursday evening at 8.15pm on Kilamity.

Manchester United haven’t exactly set the world alight since Ralf Rangnick took over as manager on an interim basis.

The Red Devils have not yet been beaten in their three Premier League matches under the German, but were uninspiring in victories over Crystal Palace and Norwich and were held to a draw by 19th placed Newcastle last time out.

The top four chase is far from over for a United side that sit just seven points behind current incumbents Arsenal with two games in hand, but they’ll need to find a way for their attacking talents to gel quickly if they’re to be more consistent in the second half of the season.

The visitors to Old Trafford on Thursday night are a Burnley side who currently occupy 18th place – making this the third consecutive team in the bottom three that United have faced. Their recent record however suggests that the Clarets may be more difficult to overcome even than Norwich and Newcastle as they have lost just one of their last six in the Premier League.

Admittedly, that run has only included one victory too as Sean Dyche’s men have played out four draws in their last six league games. The Lancashire outfit have been affected by postponements due to COVID and the weather this month and this would only be their second match since December 4th.
