With the two clubs at the top of the league, City are in pursuit of the Gunners who sit five points clear of them with a game in hand. However, they have yet to face each other in the Premier League.
The first of those titanic battles takes place in a couple of weeks in London and they are due to meet at the Etihad in April in what could be a title decider.
Of course, the question this week is whether both managers will feed their strongest line-ups and how important it is to out down a marker ahead of the run-in.
Both sides have almost a full week to recover after this and there’s no midweek encounters so there’s no real reason for any side to rotate or weaken their line-ups.
