We also have challenges we face individually, and these daily struggles make it quite difficult to pay attention to every single person we know or every single person around us. However, deat# has an air of finality and thus, has a way of jolting us into the realization that we could have paid more attention to certain people and certain things. The realization that we wouldn’t be blessed with that opportunity again is what mostly makes us feel guilty for not doing better for or with people while they were alive. Thus, we are constrained to do things that’ll make us feel more at peace with ourselves as well as the memory of the departed. It is a natural thing and doesn’t necessarily translate into us not supporting them while they were alive but doing to after their demise. Some other times,it is the way other people respond to their demise that actually opens our eyes to certain things. For example,I was never a fan of Mobad and knew only one of his songs. It was after his demise that I got to know he sang some songs which I liked but never knew originated from him. This made me pay more attention. I wish I did earlier but I can’t change it. This is the reality and order of things. Bottomline, we can all attempt to have better involvement in peoples growth. I hope he finds justice and peace”.
