Napoli come into their first Champions League tie of the season in solid form: the side currently sit second in the Serie A table after three wins and two draws from their opening five games.
The star of the show has been 21-year-old winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has notched four league goals already, and manager Luciano Spalletti will be hoping he also shines on the biggest stage in European football.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have had a much tougher start to the season. The side have only won two of their first six Premier League games, and have suffered three draws and a defeat to bitter rivals Manchester United.
Key player Mohamed Salah has been frustratingly out of form so far this season, but the talismanic attacker has a strong pedigree in the Champions League and remains a danger man that Napoli will no doubt be wary of.
