Award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has caused stirs online over his response to rapper Ladipoe’s post about music genre, Afrobeats.
Ladipoe, whose real name is Ladipo Eso, recently took to his microblogging platform, ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter), as he mocked the struggles Afrobeats artists are passing through.
The ‘Feeling’ hit maker, signed to Mavins records, stated that revealed that Nigerian rappers have also overcome the music storm.
He wrote, “Nigerians rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own”.
His post triggered massive reactions as a fan called the attention of Wizkid over Ladipoe’s statement.
In no time, the ‘Essence’ crooner took to his social media page as he threw shades at Ladipoe’s music label boss, Don Jazzy.
According to Big Wiz, he asserted that he has nothing to say to Ladipoe, tagging Don Jazzy as an influencer.
He wrote, “lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer, next”.
His post is coming after he dragged Davido with his trending video with American model.
