Popular Nollywood actor and movie producer, Odunlade Adekola is beaming with pride and joy as his movie ‘Orisa‘ secures its first international award.
Odunlade Adekola, could not hide his excitement as he shared the news via his official Instagram page.
‘Orisa’ is the actor’s first cinema movie, which was released in July 2023 and it tells the story of a king who begins to lose respect for the gods and his people, putting the kingdom at risk. The land can be only saved with the help of the queen.
This remarkable movie did not only get recognized internationally but also emerged as the best film in Africa at the 2023 Montreal English Theatre Awards.
Odunlade expressed his gratitude in particular to the film’s crew and cast for their outstanding performances, as well as to Film One’s production house.
