Oxlade has issued a public statement on social media over the recent and controversial explicit sex tape leak.
On February 9, 2022, social media was taken aback when the explicit videos of songwriter and singer Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, popularly known as Oxlade, were leaked online. The artist had been off the radar till Saturday, February 12, 2022, when he released an official statement to address the issue on his social media platform.
Oxlade is no stranger to the music industry, with hit songs like ‘Ojuju,’ ‘ baddest boy refix’ all under his belt as an accomplished artist. Still, it was however shocking when videos of Oxlade’s explicit and intimate tape had surfaced on social media which forced him to break his silence in a statement.
The leak had contained explicit personal videos of the singer Oxlade himself, and his fans had waited for an official statement. The statement released and uploaded on his Twitter account had included the following details;
I am conscious that my business is out in the public and i am not the kind of person to put my personal business there. Betrayals are very real and in this same token I want to apologize to the woman in the video, who did not deserve this type of exposure and lastly apologies to my fans and well wishers
However, he is not the first artist to experience such a situation as other artists have had their privacy invaded and brought to social media platforms.
