Sevilla will be aiming to recover from their slow start to the season when they host Barcelona in La Liga on Saturday.
Sevilla are a long way from last seasonβs start where they lost just once in their opening 13 La Liga fixtures. They have failed to secure a win in their first three matches this season, suffering two defeats already.
The Andalusians head into Saturdayβs clash off the back of a 2-1 defeat at Almeria in their previous La Liga fixture. They failed to build on Oliver Torresβ opener on the half hour mark and were quickly pegged back by the newly promoted side.
One worrying thing for manager Julen Lopetegui is that Sevilla have already faced two newly promoted teams, failing to beat either of them. They have also struggled defensively, conceding in every game this season, and even failed to hold on to their lead as evidenced by the defeat at Almeria.
Barcelona were victorious in their previous La Liga fixture as they recorded a 4-0 win over Real Valladolid. They were comfortable throughout with Robert Lewandowski netting a brace while Pedri and Sergi Roberto were also on target.
