Southampton come into this match off the back of six straight league defeats for the first time in their history after their 1-2 defeat at home to Wolves last weekend.
They face a Chelsea side rejuvenated under new head coach Thomas Tuchel, with the Blues having picked up 13 points from a possible 15 since the German’s arrival, conceding just one league goal in the process.

Confidence in the Saints camp is low following their recent run of form and getting anything out of this game looks a tall order. Chelsea have combined a solid defence with a potent attack under Tuchel, who has already shown promising signs of getting the best out of the many quality players under his disposal and such a strong squad is expected to get the better of Southampton here.
