Aituaje Iruobe, known professionally as Waje, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence in the late 2000s as a member of the R&B duo P-Square, and has since established a successful solo career. Waje is known for her powerful, soulful voice and her ability to sing in both English and Yoruba, one of the major languages spoken in Nigeria.
Waje was born in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria, and grew up in a musical family. She began singing at a young age and participated in various talent shows and competitions throughout her childhood. In the late 2000s, she teamed up with Peter and Paul Okoye, known professionally as P-Square, to form the R&B duo P-Square. The group enjoyed widespread success in Nigeria and across Africa, releasing several hit songs and albums.
In 2012, Waje released her debut solo single, “I Wish,” which became a hit in Nigeria and helped to establish her as a solo artist. She has since released several more singles and albums, including “Mountain,” “Left for Good,” and “Red Velvet.” In addition to her singing career, Waje has also worked as a television host and has been involved in various philanthropic efforts.
However, this is a follow-up to her previous album she released this year which includes “Unbroken Album” and “Waje 2.0.”
