Yoruba actor, Murphy Afolabi is dead

Nollywood actor, producer, and director, Murphy Afolabi is dead.

In a post by his colleague, Tunde Ola Yusuf on his Instagram page, the Yoruba actor has been confirmed dead in the early hours of today.

Praying for his soul to rest in peace, he bade the actor farewell.

“We lost a strong Filmmaker Murphy Afolabi….

May God rest your soul bro”.

At the time of reporting, Kilamity is yet to get details on the actor’s death.

Murphy Afolabi celebrates birthday

His death is coming a week after he celebrated his birthday.

Kilamity reported that Murphy Afolabi had turned a new age on May 5.

The movie star had expressed gratitude to God as he made a special request to him.

He asked God for blessings and grace and for the strength and courage to continue serving him faithfully.

“Dear God, on this day which is my birthday, I ask for your blessings and grace. May I have your strength and courage to continue to serve you faithfully? Almighty God, I come to you on this day and ask for your favor. May you grant me wisdom and knowledge to do your will and to live a righteous life. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME”.

Saint Obi is dead

Just yesterday, it was announced that actor, film producer, and director, Obinna Nwafor better known as Saint Obi is dead.

The actor was said to have died on Sunday, last week, May 7th in the home of one of his siblings, in Jos, after a prolonged illness.

According to reports, the disagreement between his siblings is the reason why his death took almost a week to be made official.

Further details surrounding his death has been kept under wraps. The veteran was aged 57 years and has three kids who he shares with estranged, Linda Amobi. The estranged couple were engaged in a bitter divorce custody battle before his untimely death.

The movie star came into prominence in his role in Zeb Eiro’s ‘Sakobi’ and was featured in over 100 movies.

He is also well known for his roles in Candle Light, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, etc.
