Government has declared Tuesday Public Holiday.
Newsonline reports that the Government of Bayelsa State led by Douye Diri has declared Tuesday, November 2, 2021, as a work-free day.
This is to enable workers in the public and private sectors to actively take part in the stateβs Annual Thanksgiving service.
Diri announced the decision through a βGovernment Special Announcementβ issued on Monday in Yenagoa by the Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Ayibaina Duba.
He said the decision was backed by the state annual thanksgiving law.
The statement read,βHis Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State has declared Tuesday, 2nd November 2021 as work-free day in line with the State Annual Thanksgiving Law to enable both public and private sector workers participate fully.
