Liverpool secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Brighton in the Carabao Cup fourth round. Cody Gakpo scored twice for the Reds, while Luis Diaz also found the net. Brighton’s goals came from Pascal GroΓ and Kaoru Mitoma.
The match was a thrilling encounter with both teams creating numerous chances. Liverpool took the lead through Gakpo, but Brighton equalized through GroΓ. Gakpo then scored his second goal of the game to put Liverpool back in front. Brighton again equalized through Mitoma, but Diaz scored the winning goal for Liverpool late in the game.
