Manchester United will look to record back-to-back wins in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as they travel to Merseyside to take on Everton. Manchester United made a dismal start to the campaign, as they suffered a shock 2-0 defeat away at last seasonβs Championship playoff winners Hull City. It looked as if they were going to suffer another disaster against another one of the promoted teams as they trailed Ipswich Town at Old Trafford last weekend.
However, a couple of Ipswich mistakes and an inspired Bruno Fernandes ensured the Red Devils eventually ran out comfortable 5-2 winners. Former Manchester United manager David Moyes saw his Everton side begin the Premier League campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to Crystal Palace. It did look as if the Toffees were going to suffer defeat at Bournemouth last weekend, but a stoppage-time strike from defender James Tarkowski salvaged a point.
