The Ghanaian version is typically made with basmati (Indian-originated aromatic rice) or jasmine rice, whereas the Nigerians’ rice is typically made with long-grain rice.

However, the cooking expert shared her view about the jollof wars between the two nation during a podcast, @90babyshow, in UK.

The Guinness world record breaker brazenly declared that Nigerian Jollof rice tastes better than other varieties, including Ghanaian Jollof.

This statement is grounded in her involvement in a cooking competition against a Ghanaian chef and her understanding of the Ghanaian Jollof recipe.

Hilda Baci emerged victorious in the challenge, recalling the taste of the Ghanaian jollof as bland. She was confident that her competitor’s attempt lacked the desired flavor.

The chef asserts that she has reviewed Ghanaian jollof recipes from different regions and finds them, at best, to be quite basic.

In contrast, Hilda commends Nigerian jollof, emphasizing that Nigerians excel in creating rich and flavorful dishes.
