Spurs will look to secure their first Premier League win of the season as they welcome Everton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the teatime kickoff on Saturday. After back-to-back 17th-placed finishes, Spurs fans would’ve hoped their side would have got off to a positive start this campaign given the money they have spent in the transfer window.
However, Roberto De Zerbi’s team began the campaign with a dismal 3-0 defeat away at London rivals Brentford, before suffering a disappointing 0-2 defeat at home to Newcastle United, leaving them propping up the Premier League table. Despite remaining goalless this campaign, Spurs claimed their first point of the campaign last weekend with a 0-0 draw away at Nottingham Forest, moving them up to 18th position in the table.
