Both Tottenham and Newcastle will be targeting their first Premier League wins of the season when they square off on Saturday evening. Spurs came into the new campaign feeling a lot more upbeat after coming precariously close to relegation last season, with a huge summer outlay on new recruits adding to the excitement around the club. However, that feeling quickly changed last weekend when Tottenham were swept aside 3-0 by Brentford.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side did get that defeat out of their system in midweek, though, cruising to a 5-1 win over Charlton in the EFL Cup. As for Newcastle, they have one point on the board, but they’ll be disappointed not to have more after conceding a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool last Sunday, a game that brought up my recommended bet.
