ARSENAL will look to strengthen their position at the top of the Premier League table as they welcome promoted Hull City to the Emirates on Saturday afternoon. Arsenal capitalised on Manchester City’s defeat at home to Brighton last Saturday, as they secured a rare win at Anfield against Liverpool the following day. Kai Havertz’s first-half tap-in was enough to secure all three points in Merseyside, making it eight wins from nine in the Premier League and moving the Gunners three points clear at the top of the table.
Mikel Arteta’s men were also in action in midweek, winning 1-2 in the Czech capital against Slavia Prague, moving them up into third in the Champions League league phase table. Hull failed to put a halt to their seven-match winless run in the Premier League last weekend as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to fellow promoted side Ipswich Town.
