Leeds vs Manchester United produced another frantic Yorkshire derby as the points were shared in a 1-1 draw at a packed Elland Road. Manchester United took the lead against the run of play in the 35th minute when Bryan Mbeumo slid in to finish Youri Tielemans’ low cross for his first goal since joining from Brentford. United went into halftime ahead but with only 37% possession.
Leeds came out firing after the break and equalized in the 51st minute through Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who smashed home from close range after Tarik Muharemovic nodded down Anton Stach’s corner. Michael Carrick’s side are now five Premier League games without a win and have drawn 1-1 in three straight games. Leeds had the better chances to win it late on as Anton Stach went close, while Bruno Fernandes fired wide for United.
