Manchester United will take to the Old Trafford turf for the final time this season when they face Nottingham Forest on Sunday. The Red Devils have enjoyed a strong second half of the campaign, with interim manager Michael Carrick comfortably guiding them to Champions League qualification. However, Unitedβs three-game winning run came to an end last weekend when they were held to a 0-0 draw away at Sunderland.
Even so, the hosts know a victory this weekend will rubber-stamp a third-place finish with a game to spare. As for Nottingham Forest, they arrive at Old Trafford having secured their top-flight status ast weekend, courtesy of a 1-1 draw at home to Newcastle. As such, Vitor Pereiraβs side will head into their last road trip of the season with nothing other than pride to play for.
