The UEFA Champions League has been a refuge for Tottenham amid domestic despair this season and they will be looking to lift the gloom when Borussia Dortmund come calling. Thomas Frank is on the brink of the sack after an exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Aston Villa was followed by another home Premier League loss to struggling West Ham.
But while Frank’s side are toiling at home, they are ticking along nicely in Europe, banking 11 points from six Champions League games. That will probably be enough to see them into the knockout stages, no matter what happens in the final two matches, but a win over Dortmund would give them a fighting chance of a top-eight finish.
